Mr. Daniel Peña is the Chairman of American Dental Excellence. Prior to ADE Dan was the founder, former Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Great Western Resources Inc., (GWRI), a Houston-based natural resource company public on the London Stock Exchange (LSE). At the time of Mr. Peña’s decision to retire, GWRI was operational in the US, the Gulf of Mexico, the UK and South America and had a public market capitalization of $450 million (approximately $1 billion today), with interests in coal, and oil and gas exploration and production, drilling and construction pipeline. At the time the company was acquired in January 1997, he was the biggest individual shareholder.
In an 8-year period, starting with only $820, Mr. Peña grew Great Western Resources to $450 million while energy prices collapsed, the price of oil dropped from $40 to less than $8 per barrel and more than 10,000 energy companies in the US alone went out of business. During this massive energy decline, GWRI grew a phenomenal 55 million percent.
Prior to Mr. Peña’s founding of GWRI, he was the Chairman of JPK Industries, Inc., a vertically integrated company in the petroleum industry, involved in oil and gas drilling, operating, production, crude oil refining, and marketing. As co-founder, he helped grow the company to $50,000,000 in three years. Prior to JPK Industries, he was with the investment banking firm of Bear Stearns and Co. where he advised clients throughout the US and internationally.
Since leaving Wall Street and while building his own companies exponentially, Peña has successfully negotiated transactions with many multinationals, all BIG 4 accountancy firms, many major international financial institutions and law firms, and several foreign governments. In addition, he has successfully transacted business with both the Church and Bank of England.
Dr. Quraish is the Founder and CEO of American Dental Excellence. It is a revolutionary dental group practice delivering world-class dental care with a patient–provider-centric model. Its mission is to become the largest dental group practice on the planet with the intent of setting the United States as the global leader in delivering dental care excellence.
Dr. Quraish completed his doctorate in dental surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry and received honors in Biology from the University of Mary Washington. He served as Chief Resident at Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency Langley Air Force Base and was the highest producing resident dentist FY 2017-2018.
Dr. Quraish also served as Captain in the United States Air Force. He completed his officer training at OTS Maxwell Air Force Base and participated in humanitarian missions in the Arabian Peninsula, South Central Asia, and the United States. His military honors include Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Air Force Training Medal.
Prior to answering the call of military service, Dr. Quraish led Q Investments Group as Chief Executive Officer. Q Investments Group is an international investment consortium with investments in Asia and the United States. It specializes in international multifamily and agricultural real estate. With his leadership, Q Investments Group grew geometrically and currently own $10,000,000 in commercial, residential, and agricultural assets over two continents.
During his free time, Dr. Quraish founded and currently leads Baja Nonprofit. Baja Nonprofit is a nonstock charitable organization within the means of sections 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Its mission is to provide medical, dental, and financial assistance to the underserved citizens of his village called Baja where he was born.
Dr. Di Cesare is a practicing General Dentist and founder of Allied Dental Practices, a national level multi-specialty group practice that provides quality care in 45 locations throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland with an approximate gross production of $100,000,000 annually. He is also a fellow of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is an appointed member to the New
Jersey State Board of Dentistry by Governor Chis Christie.
As Allied Dental’s Director of Internal Development, Dr. Di Cesare
was responsible for the recruitment, hiring, and mentoring of its Dentists.
Over the course of his tenure with Allied, he was able to personally expand his team of providers to over 126 dentists and dental specialists. He personally developed and executed a proven methodology of interviewing and selecting the best of best healthcare providers. He created a strong foundation on which Allied Dental was built.
Furthermore, Dr. Di Cesare developed Allied University, a comprehensive continuing education program for Allied’s Dentists, Hygienists, and Staff. He also spearheaded Allied’s DeNovo practice initiatives and oversaw the Regional Clinical Director Program. Dr. Di Cesare was also appointed to United Healthcare’s advisory committee and served honorably during this tenure.
Dr. Di Cesare received his Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He completed his General Practice Residency from NYU, Langone Hospital (Formerly Lutheran Medical Center). Dr. Di Cesare received his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry. He also served as a cadet among Virginia Military Institute Corps of Cadets and completed his Bachelors of Science in Psychology at Mouth St. Mary’s University.
Prior to joining American Dental Excellence, Mr. Griscom served as Operating Partner with Van Dyke Acquisitions, a mid-market investment firm focused on distressed M&A and turnaround opportunities & CEO of Tactic Edge Solutions, a healthcare technology business providing product-agnostic administrative solutions for health plan providers, brokers and TPA’s.
Prior to Van Dyke Acquisitions, Mr. Griscom served as CEO of One Source Group, a vertically integrated brand innovation partner providing contract manufacturing, SaaS ERP & SCM technology, contract R&D, novel raw materials & contract QA/QC Lab for food, beverage, and dietary supplement applications. At OSG, Mr. Griscom oversaw the turnaround and restructuring of the business post-acquisition followed by over 700% increase in group revenues during his 5-year tenure. Prior to One Source, Mr. Griscom served as CEO of EFX Brands, an e-commerce pioneer focused on consumer goods, cosmetics and personal care operating 15+ unique brands across a variety of domestic and international marketplaces.
Today, Mr. Griscom is focused on advising, leading, and growing companies in the healthcare, consumer goods, technology & manufacturing sectors with significant upside where his team's novel turnaround & growth strategies and active management approach can provide immediate value.
Mr. Benjamin Mezer is a Healthcare Compliance Executive and Licensed Attorney. He is an expert in the development, implementation, and management of enterprise-level healthcare compliance programs. He has a proven track record in regulatory healthcare law, strategic planning, legislative policy interpretation, legal counsel and representation, program management, staff leadership, and stakeholder engagement.
He has led a national level dental service organization as the chief compliance officer. He advised, counseled, and informed executive leaders on a diverse array of federal, state, and local regulatory compliance matters; effectively reducing outside legal consultation costs by over $180,000 annually. He managed the compliance and legal departments and had supervisory responsibility for 25 privacy officers located across the United States.
He leveraged relationships with the Colorado State Medicaid Board to reverse proposed cuts in orthodontia reimbursements that would have decreases annualized organization’s revenue in excess of $1,400,000. Mr. Mezer also oversaw Medicaid and private insurance credentialing for over 100 providers and dental practices located in Colorado, Kansas, Maryland, New Mexico, Virginia, Washington, and Washington D.C.
Mr. Mezer has represented the State of Tennessee as an investigative and lead advisory attorney and as legal counsel to private clients in the pharmacy and healthcare sectors. He is a highly sought after industry expert able to leverage strong relationships with federal and state governing authorities.
Mr. Mezer received his Juris Doctorate from Vanderbilt University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Tufts University, Massachusetts.
Mr. Edwards is an experienced Dental Business Intelligence Executive, an expert in enterprise-level continuous process improvements, business process reengineering, transition/change management, culture building and training, core process development, and project management.
As Director of Business Intelligence at Stratus Dental Group, Mr. Edwards was accountable for over $220,000,000 in annual adjusted production. He increased EBITDA of all accounts on average of 33% and adjusted production of 19%. He also developed automated reporting tools that decreased labor costs by 70%. Mr. Edwards has a proven track record of transforming dental teams from good to great! Using his expertise in business intelligence, Mr. Edwards utilizes data gathered by business intelligence software to identify areas of growth in dental teams and corporations. He used evidence-based decisions to tactfully transform a good dental practice into a thriving world-class dental enterprise.
Due to his expertise, Mr. Edwards has helped 200+ dental practices throughout the United States and Canada. He has mentored 454 dentists, 731 hygienists, and 1760 staff members towards professional and financial growth by optimizing operational performance through strategic plans and tactical initiatives. Mr. Edwards has proven over the years to excel in both team leadership and transition management.

As a thought leader, Don is a sought-after speaker at national conferences and seminars.

Neil received his Juris Doctorate from The University of North Carolina School of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University.
Brian D. Tortolano, CPA, is a Partner at Rosen & Associates, LLP. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bryant University and holds CPA licenses in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts. He is the director of the Group Practice and DSO division of Rosen & Associates.
